(Forgive my terrible photos, which do this no justice--I find it very difficult to document anything white well at all!) I
was delighted to find this guy yesterday at an antique shop in my neck of the woods, and while I don't know that he's antique, he definitely has quite a good number of decades on him. The head is true head sized and was made by someone who certainly knew what they were doing; it has much more the feel and presence of a plaster sculpture that a craft project, and he seems to me very much a character who has something to say. With wonderful bushy eyebrows, large ears, and a slightly crooked mouth, which seems to suggest he might be making a pointed comment, perhaps under his breath.
8 1/4" t x 9 1/2" w x 9" d and in very good condition, no issues whatsoever, with a very hard shell, great patina, and black painted interior.
