Convalescing Kitty, Charming Old Oil on Board Folk Painting Signed BL

Perhaps this kitty is not in fact convalescing, but rather just decided to claim your spot in bed--but nestled so cozily in under the covers, looking to me like crisp hospital white sheets, and with what looks perhaps like a bruised or bloody nose, my first impression was of the cat recovering from a brawl in the alley! A charmer of a cat and little painting whatever the case, nicely painterly and with that rich mustard-ochre background lending just the right punch.
