I found this shield-shaped double wall box in Massachusetts, but know from the seller it came from Pennsylvania, earlyish 20th century. I was sold on it as soon as I saw the birds, but those flowers and the four leaf clover at bottom are pretty great too, and I especially love how much the decoration on the faces of the boxes looks like two different styles of mustaches! As such, it might be a good one for holding some personal grooming supplies in the bathroom or bedroom, but great anywhere, really, whether holding anything or not. Super.
18 5/8" t x 14 5/8" w x 3" d. Nice old white and green paint, lots of sweet details like nails for the eyes of the birds, and in very good condition, no issues.
