It's rare that I find an old painter's palette with a satisfying build up of paint on it these days that doesn't cost a fortune--and more and more I seem to come across palettes that look to have been deliberately painted for decorative purposes (yikes!) But this is a good one, which looks to have been used for quite a substantial period of time by a real painter, with a surface that has been scraped down and built up numerous times over, looking to me now rather like a sky in a J.M.W Turner painting, with those oranges and pinks pushing through! Nice.
16" t x 11 7/8” w x 3/16” thick and in very good condition.
