This set of handmade dominoes feels very much aligned in spirit with the perpetual calendar I just listed--full of the presence of the Charles Farr who carved them "from the shin bone of an ox," and also with self awareness of the future: "take good care of them there will never be more like them." Perfectly stated, and words to live by I'd say. I look at a lot of old bone dominoes, but at this point usually hold back unless they are really special ones, and these may be my favorites ever. No wooden backs, just solid bone, with quite nicely, carefully rounded edges to the backs. Complete double six set of 28. Note included. Take good care of them.
Each approx 1 7/16" x 3/4 x 1/4. All in good condition, with some wear to the black as there should be, all wonderfully irregular.
