It's a little hard to see in photos, but across the front of this lovely old caddy, presumably made for storing hardware, was stenciled "Everything" at center, with "Nails and Brads" at left and "Screws and Tacks" at right. Beautifully constructed, of what looks like cherry wood to me, I might guess it was a furniture maker's caddy, late 19th/early 20th century. Useful now for everything, indeed, and it could be hung on the wall as well as set on a surface.
17 5/8" l x 5 3/8" d x 9 1/4" t and in very good condition. Text (executed in a lighter stain) is a bit fainter at the corners but very clear at center.
