Earthy Stoneware Vase with Purplish-Gray Glaze and Pinkish-Brown Decoration

Regular price $40.00

I'd guess this hand-thrown pottery vase dates to the 1970s; it's got a super earthy feel and reminds me of the pottery that surrounded me in my youth, much of it purchased directly from potters in studios at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. This vase is the perfect size to use all of the time, for a couple of blooms or a whole bunch. The glazing is great too--a purplish-gray that is subtle but cheerful, with these great brownish (with a touch of pinkness) swirls plus a star in a band around the top. Really lovely.

In excellent vintage condition, with no visible flaws, it measures 6 1/4" tall x 4 1/4" across at widest.
