Just a beauty of a vase--super sculptural, with long striated neck, and then this great biomorphic top, evincing two figures facing one another. The bright white glazing, speckled brown from reaction with the body of the clay, is I think its perfect match, giving it a modernist crispness in certain contexts and and a great earthiness in others. And, its two openings make for fun with flowers, though it is pretty great just on its own.
8 7/8" tall x approx 4" wide x 3 9/16" across at base. Excellent condition. It is signed on the bottom with what appears to read P. Wood.
