A wonderfully bold, black painted tin rooster with lots of character--and what a great jagged outline to those gnarly yellow feet! Great paint, great attitude, super graphic, and super folky too. Found in New Hampshire, I'd guess mid-20th c or so though perhaps a little earlier.. Seems likely was once once attached to a post, maybe even as a weathervane topper?
14" t x 14 1/4" w measured on the square. Good condition, nice patina. One nail hole at the center and two more at the feet.
