Black Veined White, Elegant 19th Century Ink and Watercolor Drawing

One more beautiful butterfly today, this purchased from the same dealer as the other butterfly watercolor I've listed, though I'm not certain if by the same maker; I do know this one came from a series of fine watercolor renderings of different species, here the "Black Veined White" butterfly as penned at lower left. Exquisitely elegan and graceful I think, with the green stems seeming as much to suggest a path of flight as to describe a momentary perch. Like a deep inhale of fresh air. 

 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" and in very good condition. C. mid 19th c. A few very minor stains/smudges to the paper, no matter.
