19th C. Naive Graphite Deer Drawing in Lemon Gold Frame

Regular price $125.00

This one, no way could I resist it--to my eye just a marvelous drawing, done by a school child on ruled paper, with what looks to me to be "The Bear" written at top left then crossed out, and "The Deer" written just below it, along with No. 15 at top left and write, making me believe it was like one of a series of animals / drawing exercises its maker was charged with completing. I have not taken it out of the period lemon gold frame it is housed in, but there looks to be some writing, and perhaps even another drawing, on the reverse side of the page.

Framed: 7 15/16" x 7 1/2", with both the drawing and the frame in very good condition. The paper is embossed at upper left. There is a bit of glare captured in photos.
