Another antique stereoview that I like for the geometries and almost Escher-esque sense of infinite continuum, existent with the CT State Capital staircase to begin with but much amplified by the double image. At the time the image was taken, the state capital--designed by prominent architect Richard M. Upjohn in a high Victorian gothic style--had just recently been completed (1879), so this was an early framing of what has since become an iconic feature of a building renowned as a architectural mastepiece.
