I love an antique occupational photo--the whole notion of workers expert in a trade proudly posing together makes me glad--and find this an especially beautiful one, both formally (such a lovely play of verticals and horizontals and arches) and in terms of the cast of characters, including roofer on the roof, making their expertise clear. I could look at this one all day.
6 1/2" x 4 1/4" and in good condition, with light general wear from handling, and a bit of surface wear showing white at lower left corner and int he dark area of the open door behind the man at center. Later 19th c. I believe.
