One sees "topsy turvies" like this now and then--which read one way right side up, and another upside down; most often I've seen them as printed images, but occasionally hand-drawn versions, too, as here, though I don't think I've ever seen four together. And what I especially love about this is that the drawings just barely achieve their intended double-faced natures--requiring one to extend a certain generosity toward the drawings, and their maker, in buying into the illusion. (And you know it is always the provocation of empathy I am searching for!) My particular favorite is summer and winter, with teeth bared either way, while I might argue wisdom and stupidity are the wrong way around!
