I haven't turned up anything of the artist who did this (based on my reading of the signature, G. Giardanella) but I know I have seen a related piece by this same artist elsewhere in person. In any case, while there is some cracking/creasing to the board (see detail photos) along the top of the drawing (more visible in some lighting that others), I think it's a really great drawing portraying a boxing match that feels very intimate and sensual. (And with all those curves and faceless heads, it also looks a bit like fencing!) Quite beautifully rendered, which makes me believe the artist was of note.
17 5/8 x 13. Black ink on board, with some cracking/creasing as noted and documented, and some toning, from where it appears to have once been framed. Brighter and bolder in person than in photos. I've shot in a couple of different lighting conditions to try to give a good sense. Lies flat.
