A total delight to find this pair, the likes of which I have not seen, but the tails of which remind me a bit of old cardboard quilting templates. One is a rooster, the other a hen, and so a pair of barnyard lovebirds! Double-sided, with watercolored combs and wattles and claws, and graphite drawn eyes and beaks. Most definitely frame worth.
Measured on the square: Rooster: 5 1/8" l x 4" t. Hen: 4" x 4". Sold as a pair. Small loss to the front claw of the rooster and some general stains and toning but overall good condition and very charming.
