A curious little chair, which I purchased from a Pennsylvania based dealer at Brimfield from whom I always covet many many things. Made of old spools and carved slats of wood, with whittled posts/finials extending from the spools at the back of the chair. I thought perhaps those posts once held another layer of spools, but they are too thick, so I guess it was built just like this. I really love its squatness and its oddness and the significant love and labor invested in making it.
3 3/4" w x 3" d x 3 1/4" t and in good, presumed antique condition. Sturdy and with all pieces well attached.
