Found in Maine, I don't believe this mat is antique, but I do believe it has a fair bit of age, and I find its confetti of colors very joyful. Made of cut and knotted strips of fabric, with hand-stitching in navy/black thread visible on the backside holding it together. Clean and bright and painterly, good at the center of the table or hung on the wall.
16 1/2" d and in excellent condition.
