Ripe and Overripe Fruit, Satisfying Antique Still Life on Artist Board

The luminous orange of this antique oil on board still life drew me like a magnet from a distance--I thought at first oranges, but now I'm thinking maybe peaches, or even apricots? Whatever the case, perfectly complemented by the abundance of deep plum fruits surrounding them--small plums I think (the right sort of greens) looking as  they've just been plucked. Then this well bruised banana in front of them, lending a sense of momento mori to it all...better to gobble up the bounty before it, inevitably, begins to rot! 

 11 1/2" x 8 1/4". Late 19th c. or so I believe. Good condition, quite radiant, with loss to the upper right corner of the board as evident, and general wear around the edges. Stable and sound.
