Maybe it's just me, but I find this battered vintage X-ACTO knife box, with its dense pattern of cuts and wounds, terrifically beautiful. If anything ever had a warm patina, this would be it, and knowing that it came from the estate of a very prolific artist makes it easy to imagine that the trusty set of tools inside have lived a very active life. I. especially love the yellow painted square with the X-ACTO man graphic in the left corner, persisting underneath the array of cut marks.
Inside are three yellow paint-encrusted blade handles and an assortment of blades all still in good working order!
The box measures 6.75" long x 3" wide x 1 5/8" tall.
