Man vs. Giant Wooden Snake, Curious c. 1940s Snapshot Photo

This snapshot, and a few other photos listed today, came out of a larger bundle taken in and around Arizona in the early 40s or so. I can't quite tell if the man in this one--with club (or giant vegetable???) raised as if to clobber this giant folk art snake--is the same as the one riding a mechanical pony in another but certainly they share the spirit of adventure! Roadside attraction or large folk art environment, I have no idea, but I'm glad this snapshot gets the snake completely into the frame. 

4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and in good condition.
