Ghostly, with Broom in Hand, Striking Antique Occupational Portrait Cabinet Card

Regular price $60.00

I'm a bit obsessed with this cabinet card, which is richer and more striking in person. I guess it is dappled sunlight that is making these two men appear rather ghostly, or haunted; glowing, really--but it almost seems as though the photo was shot through glass, and perhaps with some streaks and maybe a finger print on it too. I’m not sure, but there is a definite sort of mystery and otherworldliness about it. I presume an occupational  photo, with broom raised in the hand of the seated young man, bowtie at his neck and hat in hand, the other in white work jacket and cap and the same pinstripe pants. Clearly they are outside, but feels more like a confined space than a large one--perhaps they work (as barkeepers?) at an inn or tavern a bit outside a city? And are those be hops growing behind them? I don't know, but would love to know if you do and think a gorgeous image whatever the case!

8 7/16" x 5 1/4" and in very good condition.
