Robert Wagner's Far-ranging 1926 8th Grade Binder with Some Excellent Pages

Regular price $50.00

Things like this old school binder full of notes give me great joy--so much poetry to some of these pages when regarded as stand alone things now, and these also adding up to something of a portrait of 8th grade in 1926.  Multiple subjects covered here--the majority of pages science related to various extents (some chemistry, some more like home ec-- and then some English language (including a few great lists of words learned this year) and some pages of poetry, too. My very favorite (pictured first) charts a handful of common insects, including "where to find them" and "how to rid them." Other pages detail how to remove various sorts of stains, how to test for the presence of pure wood, cotton, or linen, and how to make a folded paper drinking cup. A few diagrams relating to human organs, science experiments, and organizing time in the day, too, plus lots of other delights.

10 7/8" X 8 3/4", 40+ pages, three ring, hand-cover binder from which pages could be easily removed. Most pages filled on one side only. All in generally good condition and very sweet. Found in Pennsylvania.
