SOLD Early 20th C. Miniature Tin Ice Water Dispenser, Presumed Salesman Sample

Regular price $45.00

A curious little thing, which, based on some research (though not turning up its exact likeness), I do believe was made as a salesman sample for a full scale water dispenser. Made of tin, with a grain painted sort of surface, lettering that appears to have been stencil painted, and this wonderful, well crafted, sturdy little spout; surely there was once a lid, but it is long gone--making this perhaps the perfect little vessel for holding an ice pick or two! I love it as an iconic feeling object and also as a sort of metaphor--perhaps just the thing to set near something, or someone, hot!

2 7/8" t x 1 7/8" in diameter; 3 1/16" across at spout. Good antique condition with a bi bit of paint loss as documented, minor, and no lid.
