Yum. I've had one of these antique hand-painted silk apple pin cushions before, and will continue to scoop them up when I can because I find them such beautiful things, each a little different. There is something about the softness of the silk and luminosity of these colors painted on it that to me feel almost otherworldly. Plus I love an apple as a thing and as a symbol, of desire among other things. This one with a braided stem and satisfying seam running diagonal across the pale yellow side. Lovely. Late 19th/early 20th c. I believe.
2 3/4" diameter x 2 1/16" tall not including stem. Very good condition.
