I found this one at Brimfield, and spent quite a while talking with the dealer I purchased it from about it, whose eye, and sensibilities, I really like. He thought it likely a mirror carried by someone in the military--small, solid, and seeming pretty much indestructible, it seems very much suited for life in the trenches. I love the way it feels to hold--heavy and thick and very sturdy, and a bit like a fragment mirror in terms of its scale and also the sense of specialness about it, though, wrapped in hand-soldered bass, it is certainly not that. Stamped (impressed) on the back Chas Harrison & Co NY, which has not led me much of anywhere. Hard to get a good sense of it from photos, but really a nice thing.
4 1/16" x 2 3/4" x 3/8". Some de-silvering to the mirror, all to the good I think. Wonderful patina to the brass, too.
