At first I thought this was a pipe tamper, but there is a threaded opening at the thigh end, so I am pretty certain it was made as a finial or perhaps even a cabinet pull. (With a little searching, I find 19th c. cane handles in a very similar form and manner.) Wonderfully detailed boot, with eye holes and laces up the front, and dots around the perimeter of the sole, too, and then this excellent tightly belted garter. No mark that I can see, mixed metal I presume, nice weigh and patina--and happy to see a man's leg for a change!
Measured on the square: 2 1/2" l (knee to toe) x 1" d (knee to thigh end" x 7/8" d at threaded end. Very good condition, nice patina.
