19th C. Sandpaper Theorem Peaches on Card

A voluptuous trio of peaches, rendered with the use of stencils, theorem style, but it seems to me perhaps with marble dust incoporated, as there is that sort of sandpaper texture to the drawing/painting. Which makes it rather unusual, and a bit elusive too--I am not entirely certain whether done in pastels with some sort of fixative over them or finely spatter painted. 19th c. for sure, whatever the case, and quite lovely. 

7 1/2 x 5 1/2" with cut to the card at lower left corner as evident. Otherwise very good condition.Backing with cream paper or board before framing the loss to the card would pretty much disappear.
