I've rarely met a little treen box I didn't like, but I think this is an especially nice one, with a barrel form, tight fitting threaded lid, and hand-painted decoration on both top and bottom. A good one for holding pills or other precious little things, or just to add to the box collection.
1 11/16" t x 1 3/4" in diameter. Late 19th century I would think, and in very good overall condition. There is a bit of roughness and one tiny chip around the, very minor.
