The sweetest! (See second image for complete set -- I like them stacked up as in the first photo, but couldn't fit them all in one photo together!) These were surely made by a kid long ago, who put a whole lot of love and effort into them, best of all the heavily decorated three locomotives (one of them named Hercules), complete with bells and spools for smoke stacks Only one got wheels, their lack all to the good I think, making them easier to treat like building blocks! All decorated on both sides, with all sorts of charming and colorful details, from hand-drawn windows and symbols (shields, eagles, etc.), to nails at either end via which they could be threaded together to form one long train. Found in Pennsylvania, to my great delight!
Three locomotives plus eleven cars total. Blue locomotive measures 5 1/4" long x 2 3/16" t. Bright green car 6" x 1 7/16. Good, much loved condition.
