Woman in Chair at Window with Cat, Old Folk Art Painted Seashell

Regular price $45.00

The second of two painted clam shells today, found separately, but certainly together suggesting that a collection of folk art painted shells would be a good thing to build! With little cat sitting dead center at the bottom with its back to us, this feels like the cat's world view to me! Some paint loss at right, which looks to have been a fireplace, with gold andiron at bottom left, but no great loss I think as this really feels all about this woman sitting by the window in her wonderful high backed chair, bonnet, and blue and white apron. Feels very New England indeed, and very sweet.

5 5/8" w x 4 3/8" t x 1 1/2" d. Paint wear/loss at left as evident, but otherwise very good condition.
