This is one of six carved and painted birds I found together, all signed H. Sloan, Maine, and I believe dating to the 1980s or so. I've found a few other birds signed by Sloan out there on the internet, but haven't been able to dig up anything about him, and don't have a first name. Clearly he loved his birds, and his color too. I believe this bright yellow one, with its black eyes and beak, may be a warbler, but am not 100% certain.
4 1/4" long x 3 3/4" t and in very good condition. Signed H Sloan, Maine on the underside of the base.
