You know I love an old brass stencil spelling out words with multi-valent resonance. I also don't believe I've ever seen one as long as this one, spanning 28 inches--which must have been used to paint labels on large shipping crates for export or the like. And, of course, contemplating the meaning of "Made in the United States" at this moment in time is rich terrain. Especially nice that "United States" was fully spelled out.
Approx 28" x 3". Scattered dings and bends all over, but presses out pretty flat, and a rich patina.
