I've never gotten hugely excited about Quimper pottery-- tin-glazed hand-painted French faience manufactured in Quimper, a town in Brittany--but I've completely fallen in love with the tiny dish. Just a perfect, gloriously colorful, completely joyful thing. The right size for laying one tea bag, or a setting a diamond ring before one goes out to work in the garden. The hand-painted mark on the underside dates it 1904-22.
2 7/8 d x 1/2 t and in good condition, with glaze loss and fleabites just around the perimenter.
