This painting feels as cozy as coming home to this little red roofed house nested among the trees and with blooming garden out front must have been--all the more so if one had hiked quite a distance along the path leading up to it! Seeming very much to represent a world unto itself, one might think the wood panel it was painted on, with bark along the top, came from a tree felled nearby too. With some interested magic marker drawings all up and down the short edges. Dated 1942 and signed A. S Mangulian of Manchester, NH in reverse, with AM at lower right corner on the face.
8 1/4" x 6 3/4". Painting itself in good condition, but there is some bark loss along the top edge, as documented.
