The stained--or perhaps more like shards of shattered-- glass effect from this photo having been torn up then taped together again I find just stunning. And poignant. And poetic. And making the image feel very much an object--and a resilient one at that. And by turns making this young girl feel resilient herself. A whole novel here for sure.
