This super sharp looking old tramp art frame comes with glass, so as to be useable right away as a frame, though it would also be a really great one to turn into a mirror. The six-layers of stacked, chip-carved wood are in excellent shape, with no losses, and were carefully painted black with varnish or shellac over top. I am not totally sure if the paint is original to the piece or not, but it has been on it for some time, and would give a nice, crisp pop to whatever one puts in it.
12 1/4" x 12 1/4" x 1 1/2". Six layers of wood on most of it; four layers at the corner points. The glass (which I removed to photograph it) measures 5 3/4" x 5 7/8" and the visible picture area from the front is 5 3/8" x 5 1/2". Excellent condition and super sturdy. Just a tiny bit of paint loss in a few spots, as pictured--super minor.
