F.P's Kraft American Cheese Crate Wood Carved Red Heart

I loved finding this very sweet hand-carved heart plaque, and then turning it over to see that it was made from the wood of a Kraft American Cheese crate. It seems as though the wood was quite deliberately chosen, with logo perfectly framed, so I have to think the heart was inspired by a love of processed cheese, or perhaps a token of appreciation for the provider of such!  Doesn't get much more American than that. The logo and text on the  crate wood dates it to the 1940s or so, I believe, and the carving was painted in red, brown and a kind of acidic mustard yellow. With the initials F.P carved proudly on the back.

3 3/4" x 3 13/16" and in good condition, with a little surface wear as evident.
