I love the pronounced ribs and the irregularities of the the glazing on this terrific 1940's Zanesville Pottery cylindrical vase from the "Homespun" series. As at home in a mid-century modern ranch as in a rustic farmhouse, it's a classic, great everyday for flowers, branches, or grasses, and also just as a sculptural object.
This vase--stamped 4010 on the bottom--is in very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks. There are irregularities original to its making, including a few tiny chips of clay stuck to its surface and glazed over; these just add to its earthy character! 9 3/4" tall x 4 3/4" in diameter.
