A very sweet old thing, the likes of which I've never seen--a make do darning egg I believe, with a clothes pin used for its handle. Looks to me like just one small iron nail--with nice bleed around it--securing the two parts together, but its as solid and sound as can be.
5 1/2" l x 2" x 1 1/2" and in good antique condition.
