Late 1920s/Early 30s Yale Fine Arts Anatomy Notebook with Drawings

Regular price $100.00

I can't quite decipher the name of the artist written on the front of this notebook, but I am pretty sure I'm correct in reading they were studying in the Yale Fine Art Department, and the notebook itself dates to the late 1920s or early 1930s. Not too many pages filled here, but some beautiful drawings of bones and muscles on the ones that are, executed in graphite and colored pencil. With lots of anatomically related notes, describing the various muscles of the shoulder, say, and detailing their positions and characteristics. Several of these I'd be inclined to carefully cut out and frame up, very beautifully executed and lush feeling.

Notebook / pages measure 10 1/4" x 7 7/8. All pages with drawings pictured. Additional pages of text notes. Majority of notebook unfilled, clean pages. All in very good condition. Photos document three favorite pages first, then chronologically.
