Jack and Jackie on the Wall, 1960s Glossy Snapshot

Found this week digging through a bin of snapshots in a shop in New Hampshire, this one, a photo of a photo of John and Jacqueline Kennedy, probably hanging on the wall in someone's house during the time Kennedy was president, struck me as quite poignant. For the fact of people hanging a photograph of the president and first lady proudly in the house, and for the fact of the photo of the portrait having itself been taken, which seems now like a momento mori in many senses.
