Funny Bunny, Charming 19th C. Horizontal Sampler on Homespun Linen

This bunny! At least I believe that's what it's meant to be, and in any case a creature completely after my own heart and one of my favorites ever. I also like the idea that the creature, standing at the end of this long row of flowers (right side up, upside down, splitting into two), seems poised to nibble its way all the way down the row! Surely the work of a young girl, 19th century, on homespun linen, completely charming.

18 1/2" l x 6" t and in very good antique condition. For the full view I photographed it propped up against a backdrop so to better light it and so it shows some rippling; in reality, it lays flat and straight and could also be carefully ironed  (with a thin towel over top to be safe.)
