I'm forever in search of lovely old hand-drawn maps, just like this one of Ireland, done by a Francess D. Fish in 1874, in the days when drawing such a beautiful map as this would have been school work. At the bottom is a handwritten comment by an instructor affirming Francess' accomplishment: "very nicely and carefully drawn." Indeed! Quite a feat to pack in all these counties and cities and towns and mountains and rivers too. Ink with watercolor borders and pale blue wash for the water. Surely there is an Irish-person who needs this beautiful (and instructive!) thing.
9 7/8" x 8 1/16" on laid paper. Very good condition, just very minor toning along the edges and one tiny loss near upper left corner.
