I always have an eye out for vintage DLM (Design Learning Materials) sets produced in the 60s and 70s for use in schools; the materials are invariably thoughtful and smart, and the graphics really great, often making them as much design object as teaching tools. But I have never seen another set of these Op Art Design Dominoes, which I'd like to think were inspired by the work of Bridget Riley, and which are truly fantastic.
This set is in near pristine condition, and look even better in person (there is a little glare on a few of the photos, not fading or unevenness to the surfaces of the dominoes) and the patterns (of which there are seven) absolutely vibrate! 28 dominoes total, on super heavyweight, thick cardboard with really nice black backs. Play just like dominoes, or keep on the coffee table just for making patterns.
Box measures 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1". Dominoes 2 1/8" x 1 1/8 x 1/8. A little wear to the box but still looks great, and the dominoes are in pretty much perfect condition.
