F.T. Woodbury certainly seems to have prized his drill bits, and his loving treatment of the box they're housed in makes me prize them too. With cloth tape outlining the perimeters on both sides, his last name written at the bottom of one and his initials on the other, along with the sizes of each bit. I especially love "TOP", as if he might otherwise be confused which end up. Methinks Woodbury was a bit obsessive, in the best sort of way! It all feels a bit first day of school or Christmas morning to me, too--like writing one's name on the inside of a brand new binder in anticipation of (or delusional hope for!) a highly organized and productive year ahead!
7 1/8" x 4 1/16" x 3/4, all in good shape. Complete set of bits, marked with a WB (Whitman & Barnes), all appear in good condition. Seems like there may be a little bit of something stuck in the bottom of the center (3/16) bit hole, which makes that bit sit a hair higher, and keeps the box from closing completely flush; I haven't tried to clean it out.
