I never ceased to be amazed by ships in bottles, and love the intricacy of the wooden masts and yards, and threaded rigging on this tall ship combined with its overall elegance and simplicity. Because of the height of those masts--touching the top of the bottle--it does not balance squarely on its own, but a bit of wax (or I used tape) on the underside, or a simple stand would do the trick of steadying it for display.
9" l x 2 9/16" d. Bottle marked 637 H--which I have not been able to identify. There are a few air bubbles in the glass. I might guess 1940s or so. Very good condition.
