Drawing Lesson 19, Satisfying Architectures and Moody Portrait

I found this one in a pile, clearly pulledan old notebook/sketchbook following a series of drawing lessons. I'm not quite sure why lesson 19 was completed twice, but I find the effect of these four ruler-drawn structures together in a grid very satisfying. And with a soulful and rather sullen looking woman drawn in reverse that I quite like too.

10" x 6 7/8", graphite on paper, good condition, with a few scattered stains and smudges and one stray pencil mark at left.
