A sweet thing, done by a Davida Perley, likely while in kindergarten, c. 1930s or so I think. To me there is a lot of poetry in the repetition of simple phases like "Dare to be true" and "The blue-birds have come," written in a young hand trying hard to get the cursive right. Plus a Froebel paper weaving, great cutout bunny and bear and trees, and a few other little treats.
8 x 5 1/2". Pages and various cutouts all loose. I'd be disposed to pop "Dare to be true," at least, into a frame. (And "Do your duty" is pretty good too!) Cover paper a bit brittle with some tearing as evident.
