This hand-thrown stoneware bowl, circa late 70s or early 80s, is nice and deep, making it a perfect smallish serving bowl and great addition to a collection of earthy studio pottery ware. It is stamped CBP on the bottom, for Cornwall Bridge Pottery in Cornwall, Connecticut, established in the 1970s by Todd Piker, a student of Michael Cardew, and still in operation. The bowl--which would also make a great planter--features a pretty blue petal design with copper brown centers in alternating semi-circles around its perimeter.
5.75ʺ diameter at widest × 4.325" tall; excellent condition.
